Working remotely, collaborating with colleagues even remotely: these are the challenges presented by the recent health emergency. WINDTRE’s human resources responded presently, as witnessed by the words of Rossella Gangi , Human Resources Director of the company led by Jeffrey Hedberg : ” WINDTRE was among the first companies to adopt smart working on a large scale in this period of coronavirus emergency. Protecting the health and safety of our people was the first thought and for this reason we have extended, since the middle of last March, smart working to all employees who today ensure, remotely, continuity to company activities, including that of customer. care. “

EMERGENCY MEASURES

WINDTRE has launched many measures to deal with the emergency and to help its employees manage such an anomalous situation: “This experience has prompted us to define a different way of working”, adds Gangi. “We call it Wat , which stands for ‘ working apart together ‘: we work together even if physically distant, sharing a physical place in a prudent way for health when needed, because meeting in person, after many hours of videoconferencing, becomes a precious moment for the development of relationships human and professional. ”

Remote working is favored by the reliability of the new ” Top Quality Network ” and by having already provided employees with tools suitable for smart working in previous months: WINDTRE had already introduced the concept of smart working in recent years. In addition, as underlined by Gangi, “in addition to launching new measures linked to a gradual and safe return, we have immediately strengthened the medical service and introduced insurance coverage, valid until December 2020, in the event of hospitalization due to Covid contagion. -19. “

BREAKING DOWN DISTANCES

A platform, called #nounadistanza, is used daily by all WINDTRE employees to share photos, videos and other moments that immortalize their daily lives during this period. A method that helps to maintain dialogue and invest in communication and listening , to support the sense of belonging and protect the relational capital created over the years.

Finally, Gangi says that the level of participation in this initiative has even exceeded expectations, adding that WINDTRE has involved its employees in the fundraising for the Italian Red Cross, which is in addition to the donation already made in recent months by the company. “This delicate phase linked to the emergency”, concludes the Human Resources Director, “has underlined the value of care, listening and responsibility, with an ever-increasing attention to the needs of people , fundamental elements of our corporate identity”.
